Raheen v Piercestown (Piercestown won 29-26)
This was indeed a thrilling final which had everybody biting their fingernails until the last ball was played. Piercestown had a narrow lead for the first three innings. Then Raheen scored eight runs in their fourth innings to go into a four run lead. Piercestown dug really deep in the fifth to score eleven runs and bring their score to 29. Raheen batted bravely but had reached only 26 when their third batter was caught behind by the Piercestown catcher. What a game!
